Revolution 1, Take 20 • The Beatles

(Just in case you don’t know, this is not a fancy title they gave to this version of the song. When any song is recorded by any band, they usually record it many times until they choose it for the record. This one was the 20th recording of it, or ‘take’. Which by the way, appears to be the same as the one in the album; but this one is uncut. Just read on.)

Okay, so on February 2009 this version of the song came out. It was previously only available on short excerpts, with Yoko Ono talking over it and stuff.

So now they (bootleggers, not EMI nor Apple Corp.) somehow got a hold of it and released it.

It’s something between Revolution 1 and Revolution 9, which is how Lennon wanted it. Revolution 1’s ending starts repeating all over again (like on Hey Jude), but instead of fading out like the album version, it keeps going, with weird sounds going in and out.
